Collaborative Craft

A focus group held to explore how traditional craft can be used to connect people to the past, and ancient art forms. This was in connection to exploring what an alternative, interaction-based museum could look like.

3D printed ‘pottery shards’ were given to participants, who were asked to imagine what the rest of the object might’ve looked like, and model it in clay.

This exercised encouraged participants to step out of their comfort zone and engage in a creative act, as well as foster conversations about craftsmanship and its relevance in past and present societies.
